HGA Hires Robert Cull as Healthcare Practice Group Leader

HGA has hired Robert Cull, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, as Associate Vice President and Healthcare Practice Group Leader in the Los Angeles office. He will direct new business development opportunities, client relations and team processes for the growing healthcare group serving clients in southern California.

“My goal is to build on HGA’s solid reputation for healthcare design and agility to new ideas as we extend our expertise,” Cull said. “The healthcare industry is continuously evolving, and HGA’s culture for research and collaboration throughout our four California offices enables us to meet our clients’ needs with impactful design solutions.”  

Cull has more than 30 years of experience leading planning, design and delivery of large, complex healthcare projects throughout California and nationally. His work includes campus master planning, academic medical centers, acute care facilities, ambulatory care centers and clinics for leading providers, including City of Hope National Medical Center, UCLA Center for Health Sciences, Stanford University Medical Center, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Before joining HGA, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Principal with HOK, where he directed a multidisciplinary design team serving the Healthcare, Aviation + Transportation, and Science + Technology markets. Previously, he was Executive Project Director at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he directed the design and construction of the Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion and multiple campus master planning and design projects.

Cull has a Master of Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Montana State University. He is a registered architect.
