Students' experience of college life and ability to learn can suffer from poor health, stress, depression, sleep deprivation, and anxiety. Recent research reveals that planning and design can yield positive results for health and wellness. We will describe how our new understanding of our physiological and psychological relationship with our environment can be applied to campus planning, design, and architecture to improve daily experience, support resiliency, and ameliorate many negative health effects.
